Mormons

The Mormons are campaigning hard for Latin American souls and just built allegedly the best Mormon temple in Latin America just outside Panama City. The place is made mostly out of marble and looks insanely expensive. It just opened a few weeks ago and all the visitors lined up to have people put plastic covers over our shoes. They had massive crystal chandeliers, huge hand painted murals on all the walls, and reliefs carved into a huge marble font. I think they will get converts just because people will want to have their babies baptized in it.

elegedly? I thought you could not go into a mormon temple without being a mormon. Perhaps there is a different policy in Panama. Mormonism was the scientology of its day. Now it has become more respectable. Ahhh... the religion business - no amount of embarrassment can stop it.

I do recall there being some restrictions. Perhaps it depends on the day of the week.

The Mormons were trying to convert Sewon the other day, too. Small world.

Travels sound awesome, William!

In Under the Banner of Heaven, a book about fundamental mormons, one of the scariest lines says that there are now more Mormons in the world than there are Jews.

ah, i can offer some insight here. the temple is restricted to anyone without a recommended, which can only be obtained by members of the church after an interview with a member of the church leadership. before the temple is dedicated and becomes a house of god, they have some open houses where anyone can walk through and see it.
